  Maybe try going into tv settings and change a/v input option from cable to antenna. :shrug

  Been there I had to do that so it would reconize the antenna Thanks.

  You could try changing the audio input option on the Zenith from Dolby Digital to PCM. Sorry, kind of difficult to troubleshoot without seeing your setup.
  
  I did notice this disclaimer on your converter. Note: This device accepts 2-channel digital audio only. Dolby 5.1 and other multichannel formats are not compatible.

  I could go on and and on with the trouble shooting, the ports, inputs, outputs digital , analog, blah blah blah
  
  BUT why not remove the gefen and just plug the Stereo RCA cables from the tvs or tuners output right into the sound bar. Why process the sound more. Why convert the signal to digital when the sound bar has to convert it back to analog anyway.
