I dislike Boynton, Boca and Jupiter inlets on East/NE w OG tide.
I am amazed we don't hear about boating accidents with that tide SMOKING like that.

I've been in and out of that inlet a handful of times as a new boat owner some 4 years ago. Never thought anything of it then. I zipped in and out with a 24ft Sea Ray Sundancer just being careful of the entry/exit point turn. To this day, I don't under stand the dangers of that inlet other than the usual tide. Ive read many stories online.....I don't know, I like to use common sense, but sometimes there are circumstances that you have no control over but could sometimes prepare for. I still consider myself a new boat operator (but use common sense) and happy to see this posted to learn from others. Thanks for posting.

I'm sorry, but I didn't really see the problem. The BBI is skinny, and just like any other inlet on the east coast you need to have some boating sense. I've been using the inlet for a year steady and still have not found anything you can't deal with by first using the excellent inlet cams, magicseaweed, and your steering wheel. YES, you can use that thing to turn your boat around and go home. I went out this past weekend on that OG tide as well, yea it got a lil snotty but an hour or two later (on a different tide) it was butter. Posting random pics of the worst days are not indicative nor helpful to other boaters, I can get a pic like that and worse from every inlet ever. IJS, that's my position.

And before anyone jumps on my one year of BBI experience, for the other 30 years of my boating life I used Moriches Inlet, LI, NY.

And Lori Jo, if you catch one more wahoo...lol
