  I've never heard of the Florida Sportsman Reef out of JP.

  I believe he is refering to the one posted in the sportsman challenge. They post different reefs around florida. I think he is refering to silver nail. I have never been there.

  I will pull more info when I get home but the chart I purchased had to spots in about 85' labled floridasportsman reef and florida sportsman-about 25 miles due West of JP. It shows a 6' ledge around that area so It cant be all that bad right? I figured I will have to hunt and peck my way out looking for hard bottom and ledges while working off a general area on the chart. I will look up the Silver nail but did not recall seeing that name.

  Sounds like the TI 2 reef. Theres a ledge a few miles from there as well

  If so, that's an ole party boat from Hubbard's... I believe in 100' though not 85'... maybe rises to 85'... it's worth a shot but watch your bottom machine once you get to 80'... chances are you'll run across some good real estate that may hold a keeper red grouper or two!!!

  Yes that is the one. Sorry wrong name and just looked it up. I was planning on trying from 65' on out next week with that being my final stop if I need it to be. Thank you for the information.
