Need a Mayport Crew for Wahoo Runs

Call me for Sat, May 5, 2012 mayport depart, first light, ledge bound, back by dark, the clean fish and wash the boat. long day. First calls get empty seats. Seats full. Thanks.

If you emailed before today, please email again. I lost my old pc and all my emails.
Still looking for Fri or Sat where seas are 2-3. I am ready to go, boat is ready too.

Well, wahoo season is amoung us and all we can do is prepare and wait on a calm ocean. I haven't tried to build a crew yet, but would like to obtain some guys numbers that might want to go when the few calm days do come.

I have a 2004 23 ft KenCraft Challenger TE with twin 2004 225 Optis on the engine bracket. This boat is 4,000 to 5,000 lbs fully loaded. Have epirbs, safety rafts, vhfs, backup vhfs, and am considered conservative.

The captain is conservative but the boat burns gas, ie 110 - 140+ gallons on a ledge trip. On a long day high speeding, have gone to 160 gallons, but I perfer to mix high speed with bait dragging to stay away from the high numbers. The ReefRocket holds 180 gallons.

I have all the gear, all the lures needed. Your welcome to bring a belt, what you want to drink, eat, and some cash for the trip. We divide the gas up and the daily expenses, including oil for the 2 stroke. Equal split on the fish too. Normally runs $125, sometimes higher. I don't drink and most of my crew do not drink much...hope you fall into one of those categories.

I like leaving at first light and returning before dark, washing the boat at the car wash, cleaning the fish and unloading the boat in Jax Beach. I perfer all crew to meet me at myhouse in jax beach and return and help clean fish, boat and help unload the boat.

I'm not able to be a full time crew member due to family & work but I'd be interested in a trip this season.
Never been so it would be a complete learning experience for me.
I dont know the boat, is a WA or CC? What kinda luck have you had in the past?

The Kencraft is a CC, last trip was actually for dolphin, but still using pulling wire. 50lb wahoo made our day...plus some little 10lb dolphins. Normally have caught more dolphin that most, but dolphin fishing has been funny last couple of years.

Ok, holidays are done, bruised ribs issue healed, and I turn office beeper in on Tuesday.
Double checked the boat, washed it twice both the last weekends, just needs gas and a Sea Forecast of 2-3 connected to a weekend...and crew...so those that have fished the ReefRocket before, call me and those who haven't and still want to go, we need to be ready to go any Friday or Saturday we can.

May be free this Saturday. How far is the run out to the ledge? I generally fish more inshore.
    Thanks.
