Went out of Gordans pass, headed out at 8am seas were OK. Caught nice white bait at the tripod and headed out about 10 miles to a nice wreck I know...Send down half a mackerel and get nailed within 5 minutes...a little on the small size so we keep trying, one more gets hooked but he feels like the ground he so big and the line breaks. Fishing was really slow, the ONLY thing we caught on the flat lines was a huge sea turtle...it actually looks like he ate our bait??? Hooked him right in the mouth?? So we "fight" him for about 30 minutes and get him to the boat so we can try and get the hook out of him...after a successful de-hooking we release him with what we hope is only a new lip piercing.
Saw some huge rays jump but no sign of Cobia...
Had one final run on the Goliath rod but it was either a shark or one of those huge rays either way he took off and we lost him after one heck of a run.
On our way back the seas were almost flat.
Had a professional photographer for Diawa on board trying to get some good shots...
