Were leaving out of Government Cut Saturday early am. I will be running my 26 ft Dusky. Planning to do a little diving and fishing around the gingerbreads. Anyone else crossing over ??? any reports on the yellowfin tuna yet?? I will be on channel 80 if anyone wants a report of the north side ....

got our a**es handed to us...lol..ended up catching some nice flags before the sun set in the Issac's and some dolphin up to 20lbs on the way back 12 miles out...
we did run into some tuna birds and threw live and chunk bait at them but that didn't produce anything... if i ever get my hands on that NOAA guy...were gonna have some problems

hey DirtyDusky, you are a trooper! I tried calling you on the radio as soon as I left the cut to warn you about the seas, I made it 9 miles out and called it quits and stayed offshore looking for dolphin and caught only 1 peanut but ran into two different schools but all peanuts. The seas were too rough I didnt want to bang the boat up the whole trip over and back, and for the deep dropping the south wind with the current was marking my speed over ground at 6.7pmh on the sounder.

    Dahogkilla,

Thanks for the heads up on the waves...we should be crossing over a couple more times this summer...i will make sure to have a cold Kalik waiting for you on the otherside...
We do plenty of deep drops in the Bahamas but never really target them over here... i was reading up on the South Atlantic regulations and it seems that the only thing we can catch in federal waters deeper than 240 ft are rose fish...is this correct???
