Boynton Cobia
Fished very early sunday, went out the inlet at 3am with Gogs on our mind, we failed dismally not a gog was seen. The runners were not chewing well either but managed 20, last weekend no issues more bait than we could use,Put about 35 baits in our pen but some lowlife **** lifted them. Started proper fishing at first light and the cobes were thick.caught one at 730 approx 45lb, it was jam packed with 2- inch crabs of which most were still whole.Looked like they had been eaten very recently so what the hell we tried them for bait - true match the hatch! well it worked instant bites.caught the one in the picture of 20lb line. Here's the pics since the old man can't figure out how to use Photobucket. I apologize for the crappy small pics as well. They were taken with Brian's motorola flip phone. Yes he's still got one of those, still doesn't have wireless internet in his home and uses AOL dialup. . :rotflmao
I promise next time I'm on board to bring a "real" camera and to make sure we've got more than half a box of sardines. Can't wait to get out there again and hunt down those dolphin I've been reading about.

looking from above the crabs are somewhat of a diamond shape, you place the hook in the left or right corner between where the legs attach and the edge of the shell, come from below and manipulate the hook thru the top shell, with a good sharp hook it is a breeze, we fished them on a 6 foot trace on a knocker rig. Hope this helps, been an old man I cant post pictures!!
good stuff.
