So who has gone out last few days?

Driving down tomorrow. Have a 27' sea chaser for a week out of marathon. Looks like Sat / Sun may be the best days. Probably get our teeth knocked around the rest of the week! Would love to get to the hump, but looks doubtful. Next best would be just outside the reef to troll a bit or bottom bounce. Otherwise, anchor time hitting patch reefs and gulf side fun. Not what I planned the last 3 months for... but oh well. You take what mother nature gives you!

While I can't help with that area, KWFT is this weekend and the weather report looks great for catching down this way.

I'm sure someone from up there will chime in. If it's gonna be good for us down here, it'll be good for you up there. :wink

That link will get you to the Key West Fishing Tournament website for our Fishing Weather Forecast this weekend. It extends up into your area and will be a good planning tool for you.

It'll have wave info, current direction, SST Charts, etc... And is Free this weekend. Even if you aren't fishing in the Tourney, we've made it available to everyone.

    Hope it helps!

Blowing like crazy. We have been stuck in the bay with minimal luck. Maybe you will get a window but march is tough.

It's 15kts right now, and that looks to be holding through the weekend.

Thanks for the input and links. I've been bouncing between weather.com, NOAA, windalert, windfinder, and sailflow. Looks like it might lay down a bit later in the week. Still going to head out tomorrow as far we can go. A 28' cape horn came into a marina in key colony beach today with 20 dolphin. Yes... 20. 600' of water. The fish are out there.

Finally! I may get to fish and enjoy it the next few days. Either 4 to 6 is bigger or I am getting older :)

Weather was actually better than expected this morning. Got out early and trolled a decent weed line at 225ft. But, no hits. Several other boats riding the same line, but didn't see any bent rods. Nothing higher than 3-4'ers which are completely doable when trolling. Came back in towards somebrero and considered anchoring but the wave frequency was just too high for some passengers. Headed back towards the house we are staying at and got a few keeper mangs in vaca cut. Not happy with the forecast, but it still makes for beautiful weather overall. Going to try trolling out again tomorrow then planning some gulf side days Mon-Wed. :) Maybe some tarpon hunting in the cut.

We fished the drop off yesterday in 70 foot east of American Shoals and the snapper bite was very hot. Some muttons early to 12 pounds and 30 YTs from 16 to 24 inchess. Lots of sharks. We must have hooked up 30 or more on the grouper rigs. Who ever says they are endangered is crazy. Beautiful day just a little choppy.

Had island fever last Monday, seas were 5-8ft, but had to go to check out for myself & see where the fish were at.

Got covered up with Dolphin within 20 minutes of lines in the water and got slashed by a King. Released 4 schoolies, friend got "white knuckles" fished for 1.5 hr. Fish all went back to the sea, seas kept building so we turned for home.

How deep? We are coming down the first week of April. Been praying for good weather for a month now..
