  Very high end resort, 5 minutes from St. Lucie inlet, well marked channels although becoming very shallow, large boats could have difficulty on low tides. Good quantities of Dolphin are already showing up and should go through the summer. Gulfstream is closer in Stuart than St. Augustine but not as close as in Ft. Lauderdale. Boat ramps are conveniently located near resort. Good choice if you want a classy resort.

  I have caught Phins in 40" straight out of SLI and all the way out to 800". It all depends on the day and how actively you hunt them down. Start trolling with rigged Hoos and when you find them, switch over to live bait...if you have any. Just this past week the live bait boat has returned and you can find him most days at the entrance to Manatee Pocket by Sandsprite Park. He usually has Greenies and Pilchards.
  
  If you want to catch your own live bait, search the Forum for threads regarding bait or when you clear the St. Lucie Inlet, just look north or south for the "city of boats". Good Luck and enjoy your visit.:thumbsup

  great place to stay and great marina and channels are plenty deep enough in marked areas. all and all a good choice and even good fishing off of the docks there .

  The past several years, May has been the best month for gaffer and slammer dolphin off Stuart. That said, there are already some quality fish moving through. Can't say for sure if this is the main run starting early, or just a push of nice fish passing through prior to the main spring run of slammers. Last year it seemed that 200'-250' was the magic depth, although my largest bull last year was out in 1100' in late June. Just have to recognize the right conditions and put the time in.
