Those who have not committed to Linghtroom may want to look here

Corel has a new product that some are saying is Lightroom on steroids (of you read the software forum over at DPReview.)

*.RAW workflow tools are very powerful, like ability to select a portion of the image.

Here is a link to a write up and a video. Thoughts?

Then you should be looking at the Corel/Bibble application VERY closely. Looks like it spanks Lightroom. I would consider it if I did not live in an Adobe (PS, InDesign.....) household.

    Good price too.

i downloaded a trial of "aftershot"....
it's a pain in the *** to work with....
the cloning tool sux as well as the rest of the functionality....
ps elements is much easier to do editing, etc...
in aftershot there is not even an "undo" tool...

i still do not have CS but i can do more, easier, shutteling back and forth between elements 9 and my canon software and no frustration....

but thats just me having spent hours with aftershot which would take me a few minutes with canon\elements...
the canon software has the best cloning tool i've tried and working in b&w with what i have is a snap...

they have a long way to go....
lightroom is a better product...been there....
