Airflo Tropical Floating Clear Tip

Any one have a demo line or tried one yet? Ordered a 12# for tarpon season that is supposed to drop ship directly from Airflo around Jan 1st. Really looking forward to this line.

You might have to wait until spring before you get any kind of reliable feedback on either one. I have a cortland PE Liquid line on a 9wt and it drives me up a wall trying to track my line. If I pick up either of the two lines it will be the clear tip, and hopefully the running line isn't baby poo brown.
I'm going to try this line on one of my 11wts. Is the clear tip close to the weight class or is it 1/2 line wt. heavier. I'm on the fence between the 11wt and the 12wt. I want the rod to load quickly with minimum false casts and be able to fire casts into the wind... I don't mind going up a weight to achieve these results.
I'm using Scott STS 11wt. rods if that matters..
Opinions on which line weight to choose....
How true to weight are they? Any need to over line for a six or eight weight fast action rod or go with rods recommended weight?

I would also like to know if there are any new knot coatings that y'all use now. The old dinosaur was pliobond but with a clear connection, it would help to have a clear coating. A dark "knot" being retrieved through the water, seemingly by itself, is sure to attract baby barracudas and sennets. I have had these critters attack my knots before and with devastating results.
Finally, I would like to know if there are any new techniques for attaching leader butts to fly lines with mono cores. For weights 10 and up, I always used to sacrifice about 6-8 inches of the flyline tip and strip it to the core. I then put a surgeon's knot in the permanent leader butt and essentially tied a huffnagel connection. It worked flawlessly for many years. I am leery of **** loops, although I use them in lighter weights with braided cored lines.
What is the pound-test rating/diameter of these mono cores? 30 lb.? Does this change between the lighter and heavier weight lines? Talking the Airflo lines here.
If I switch to a mono core in the lighter weights and the core diameter is the same, I might go back to a variation of my original connection: This time strip about 3 inches of line tip and tie the surgeons' in that, instead of the leader butt. Then I will put the leader butt through the surgeon's knot and nail knot it over the fly line behind the surgeons. The surgeon's knot will then be tightened with pliers and act as the "stop" to prevent everything from slipping off. Of course, lighter lines mean lighter tippets and there is much less pressure being exerted on this connection. (That is, unless you are fishing for squirrels in the mangroves.)
Finally finally, (whew!) Where are you Florida folks getting your lines from? Factory direct? I see there are no dealers in the SE.
PM, try knot sense from loon. It's a UV cure adhesive that dries clear. The strength of the core is going to vary depending on the weight of the line, so you would have to talk to the right people at airflo if you want the approximate breaking strength for each individual line you're curious about. I know the airflo ridge tarpon wf/f/11wt has a breaking strength of 37lbs, but it's not monocore. And getting them isn't much of a challenge in my area, we have trop. ridge lines, trop. ridge clear, trop. ridge clear tip, delta clear, 40+ expert distance. 40+ extreme distance, ridge GT, and miracle braid running lines at HG's. I have no idea why we aren't listed as a retailer.
