  Insect repellent and ThermaCELL or pic coils.
  Another thing I'm planning on adding is a lightweight hammock, beats laying or sitting on the ground.

  With what you mentioned in my Fanny pack. Flashlight, knife, TP, 10’ of paracord and cell phone.

  A game bag to fill with meat and a sharp knife. Maybe a couple tree steps depending on the area if I plan on sitting still.

  I always take 2 Thermacell plus some spare pads and fuel.
  A headlamp with spare battery.
  My cellular phone in waterproof case with power pack.
  
  Most importantly I have carried a small and simple gunshot trauma kit with me for past 30+ years. It was put together for me by my father who was a medical officer in Vietnam and he taught me how to use it.  Every two years contents gets refreshed and I get a reminder on how to use it with just one hand.

    i keep pack of blood clot powder and a roll of gauze along with small flask of ron zacappa rum and 3 vicadin tucked away in my backpack      thats the extent of my first aid kit i carry    anything else can wait till i get back to the truck and if that dont get me back to truck i leave my crossbow to h20    everything else goes to whoever finds me.

  I keep my epirb in my hunting pack when I'm not on the water. Figure it can't hurt to have.
