Question?  How come my photos are deleted.  This is not the first time it happens in the past.  If you don't want me to post pictures let me know.  I will be more than happy not to post anymore.

It's likely the forum software can't resolve the link and could have to do with where you are hosting your pictures or the format of the link you are using.

It's displaying the "alt=" message where the image would display since it can't resolve the link for whatever reason.

    " <img alt="May be an image of crocodile and nature" src=" .... fbcdn.net ....>"

I know it seems strange they displayed when you posted them and now they don't. But, it's the way it is and it might just be the forum software at fault.

Thank you for the comments.  I use Facebook as the host.  I guess I can't post any more single photos.

Sometimes different platforms "don't play well with others". It can happen because one site doesn't want you "hotlinking" to an image stored on their server. You can use one of the other "content providers" to host your pictures or you can upload them to the Florida Sportsman server.

Like that picture of the snake you posted .... "Never give up, never surrender."

I started a separate topic on saving pictures to folders on my own computer to avoid the problem Moon Shadow is having.  Hope it helps.

    A nice write-up.

There's a lot of info in those screenshots.

In this instance, the issue is where to host those pictures you store on your computer when you want to post a link to them.

Where are you uploading them before adding them to a post and how does that work?

Sorry, my bad.  In most cases, as on forums like this, I just drag and drop them.  If making a story using them, I compose and save on Google Docs, then post the link, as I've done with my travel stories on this forum.

There are a couple of current threads on tinboats.net where I used text with pictures dragged and dropped between paragraphs to tell a short sequence.  Works fine.

Thanks for the reply. I think the drag and drop works ok on this site.

I have a personal website I use and just add the URL link into a post or a reply.

On most forums I can use BBC code to do that, but this forum's functionality has dwindled in the last few years.
