Any signs of tarpon moving in at ponce? Usually they should be here by now but I haven’t seen any my last few trips out to the ponce/nsb area. I’m thinking the cooler weather may be keeping them away.
We went pretty hard for them inshore/inlet/beaches this weekend and released our first of the year. 0/0, 1/2, and 0/1 Sat/Sun/Mon.
However it looked like all resident fish from about 40lbs and down- did not see any that looked big enough to be the migratory adults. The one we caught was about 30 or so I'd guess.
Ocean water was 78-79, inshore 81-83. Plenty of bait around everywhere. So it should be time
Hi everyone. I'm originally from the West Central forum, many moons passed. Moving to your area July and hope to make fishing friends with other Tarpon enthusiasts.
