  I think about our cabin still on the uprightsIm thinking cabosil under uprights.   Tube of construction adhesive under the thresholds and then I guess silicone on the outer edge.

  5200 is an adhesive,  not a sealant. Use silicone.

  I’ve busted out the Rottenwood and use some Marine tax cheap stuff where the word should be.  Shut the void full of Construction and Geeze. Then the seal of some kind of silicone
  
  Translated:
  
  I removed all the rotten wood and replaced with Marine Tex.  Removed all the old failing caulk.  Shot the bulk of the void and under threshold with construction adhesive.  Then finished with exterior silicone.
