Orange Park/Mandarin Point this morning............

Finally got the farm caught up to where we could justify playing in the river for a while this morning so went over the OP and tossed the net on the incoming tide, the idea being to drown the results of that effort around a dock or two afterwards.

Not a pile of shrimp there, and surely none of them worth eating......but enough for bait.....and a few small croakers as bonus bait.

Never caught more than 4 at a time but got enough for the limited time we had in short order. All the ones big enough for bait are browns, the whites are still mostly mosquitoes.

Took what we had over to the Mandarin Point side where we spent about a hour fishing one dock on the rising tide. Plenty of prime sized freshwater cats, one just short speckled trout, a keeper mangrove and two reds that broke off on pilings.

For what it is worth the reds both took small croakers.

Nice thing about now is that the tiny pinfish and small mangroves are not so thick that to where they are annoying.
