Most of you will remember we bought a travel trailer a few months back. Long story short, the F150 didn't really have enough
@$$ to let me feel safe while pulling it.
Yesterday, Lora completed her 40th year in the classroom and has now joined me in being retired fully. We plan to do a lot of traveling so...
Weve been looking for a few weeks. This fit the bill and the budget.

Congratulations Lori. I'm glad to see Brad has a fulltime caregiver now.

How big is the trailer?
That leather-bucket brute can tow more than 4 tons.
( New ones haul an astounding 31,000 pounds. )
( Did you keep the F-150 to tow the boat? )
Lora and I had talked about getting a bigger truck but hadn't yet convinced ourselves to drop the coin.
I pulled to Lake Blackshear mother's day weekend in winds of steady 20 with gusts to 35. That trailer dragged my @$$ all over the road. Made the decision then that we were going with a 3/4 ton.
I know towing mpg wont be great but on the highway yesterday coming home from the dealership, I was getting 21 mpg. That surprised the heck out of me. I figure it'll go 15-16 around town.
I didn't keep the F150. Got a great trade in on it though.
Can't go wrong with a Duramax!
Congrats, 4WD? You don't need it but when you do it's nice to have.
