Collier Co.docks and marina

Collier Co.docks and marinas are being overwhelmed.Go to Goodland,
Caxambas and Naples Bay as soon as they open, coming back and
the parking lots are over flowing.Reasons.....DeSantis declared boating
essential activity.......catch and release North of Gordon Pass....Dade/Broward
residents driving over.
Second and worse problem.....Commercial kayak rentals and those crafts
with 25hp engines. They pay little or no ramps fees because they unload there
vessels in the ramps and leave. My suggestion $2000 yearly fee for commercial
kayaks and Skillcrafts.I don't mind out of county residents but Collier Co. residents
paid a lot of money and we should have first access.

Just spent a few days at Collier Seminole State Park. Saw 2 kayaks and 1 boat at the ramp in 3 days.

Lostconch, that's because they were over at Goodland
    and Caxambas marinas.

I'm in EC & Rod & Gun was pretty busy this past weekend, & have seen a good many boats headed to Choko since Wednesday of last week. Seemed like there was a boat on every shoreline around Choko & Sandfly passes Saturday & I saw 3 different FWC boats between the Lopez and Huston.

Hurricane Andrew ruined Chokoloskee and Everglades City..
Not the storm damage the idiots from the East coast did it.
NPS closed down Flamingo for a year or so and we got invaded...and they never left.

Just an update.Had a meeting with Rick LoCastro Collier Co.
commissioner  and that discussion about public docks,Seadoo's
and the small crafts powered by 25hp engines.
That info was past onto Collier Co.Parks and Rec.chairman
and he recognizes yes there is problems.First problem is lack
of docks with handicap issues. For now,a floating dock is
being added at 951 ramp. Second, the commercial co.of
kayaks is way underpaying for use of public docks.
