5/2 blackfin bite ( 5/5 update)

Cleared the inlet at Hillsboro about 2 hours before sunrise to catch bait. Had a SSE wind at 10-15, and a strong north current. Only managed to catch a little over a dozen gogs, but enough to wet a few lines. First drift we setup in 250 ft , got one tuna in 220 ft. Second drift got another in 170ft. As soon as we got between 120-100 fr the snake kings were chomping our baits in half. We were using 40lb fluoro to target the tunas , so we were getting cutoffs. Lots of sharks around also, thankfully we got our tunas to the boat unharmed...👍
