Mayport Offshore 3/11

We broke the jetties about 12:30 today. It looked doable in our boat, so we ran north to RL. We ran 25-27mph in a 2'-4' sea, that was very tight and unorganized.  We got to our first spot, and the bottom was lit up. My second drop produced a barely legal seabass, and then the snaps moved in. It seemed like every bait down immediately got inhaled by a juvenile snap. We ran a little further north to a number that nobody else in the whole wide world has except for me, and found the best bite of 12" seabass you could ever want. We pulled 3 more keeper bass from that spot, and a nice trigger too. By this time it was 3pm, so we headed home w/ enough fish for tacos tonight.

Here's our catch..

I'm glad we made it out this week, and I'm keeping my eye on this weekend.
