NSB report 9/12 - mullet run is on!

Fished inshore with Mom & Dad today. Very windy with off and on rain. Tarpon is generally the top fish on my mind, so with the ocean being out of the question today we started down in an area of the Edgewater backcountry where we sometimes find them. Freelined some big mullet for a little bit but no tarpon sightings, so started working the shorelines and got a couple jacks and a snooklet.

Worked our way back north and poked around a few spots along the ICW. Best action was on the afternoon incoming tide by a flat that drops off steeply into the channel. We caught four big bull reds on the deeper side, and some mangrove snapper and jacks by casting closer to shore. Thousands of finger mullet were getting blown up on along the shoreline. I threw into the action a few times and got a big bluefish, a few more jacks, and a smaller redfish.
