Another longgggg over due post once again. Starting to get a bad habit of going 6 months before finding the time to make a catch up post. Just because I ain't postin don't mean I ain't fishin! Those that follow me on Youtube or Facebook have already seen most of these trips so I'll try to make them brief.

Finally got a chance to take Greg's new 27' Rambo to 100' last weekend to let the girls wrestle with some 30" Red Snapper. Kelly got the only keeper Gag and me and Chris got the 2 biggest Ars. Chris managed to sight cast and land the solo surprise Mahi. Used mainly threadfin the whole day and then loaded up with lane snapper at the end with small chunks and some dead shrimp. Beautiful fun day on the water.

The saying the early bird gets the worm was 100% accurate this trip. We had 10 keeper trout on our first drift by 9:30 in 6-7ft near the foul area of Crystal River. Bite slowed down like it was a different day around 10am and we picked up 5 more keepers by noon. We moved around a little and kelly hooked into a nice Gag Grouper which was a nice surprise with a gulp on a cork. Headed in early after a great morning. End of the video we added a few hrs in Yankeetown with a few decent snook, a redfish and a surprise Cobia. Fun way to spend Memorial Weekend.

Bounced around in the Yankeetown backwaters to avoid the wind slingin artificials. Found a few snook and reds but it was a slow bite. Ran out to some bars and got some trout before heading back to some creeks to finish it off. Got several of each species of the slam and had alot of action. Found better luck throwing white swim baits or gold spoons for reds and snook.

First summer time trout hunt we went all over the place to find some. Went from 2ft to 8ft from st martins past the foul rock area. Same results everywhere pretty much due to the lack of water movement it was a slow bite all day. Still caught a good amount of quality trout 15-19" slingin gulps with my buddy and our girlfriends.

Had a super windy cold front come in so we started around noon fishing the river waiting for the tide to come in. Got a few nice trout then headed to the creek after 230 and got an easy limit of nice trout in about an hour and a black drum all on frozen shrimp and a jighead.

Started at Kelly time around 11am and fished till about 3:30. The bite was off an on but was consistent enough we never had to move. Caught a dozen trout and drum with a few redfish mixed in as well.

Super old trip but had to share because I got to have a guide buddy Carter Wade on the boat. Having Carter show me around really opened my eyes on how he targets big shallow water redfish. Now that I can run just about anywhere it was an awesome experience seeing him catch 25-30" reds in 3-6" of water! Check him out on facebook!
