25 Feb 2020...Vero...Took the long run to the Barber St Launch. Decided to try the 17th St Bridge for Sheepies. Side tracked at a spoil island, fantastic if you wanted to catch a Lady on every cast. Worked, hoping to find a big Trout. Next spoil island, almost 20 inch Snook,a 17 inch Cuda and a 15 inch Blue. Took a tour of the western shore, barren desert. On to the main goal, 17th St Bridge. Once again, failed, 3 Snook and a few short Snapper. Into the Power Plant ditch, one Snapper, not a fan of pitching docks, so left. Long run to Grand Harbor. Sure am glad that people with big boats are incapable of reading/following directions, one blew through the Manatee Zone, full speed/wake. Not a fun ride, Barely made it under the Golf Cart bridge little on the tight side both going in and coming back out. Not very productive, short Snook, Snapper a bunch of Jacks. Next stop, the Estuary. Jacks, Short Snook, Snapper continue. Down to the secret hole, more Jacks, Snapper and ladies. Zero Trout and Reds for the day. Relief canal, scraped some more off of the bottom. Carp population has gotten big, both in numbers and size, quit counting at 30. Short Snook, with a surprise, caught a pair of Fat Snook. Normally only get a couple each year. Ended the day with 22 Snook. Dark Snook came out of Tannin stained water. No pictures on Fat Snook, busy fighting the wind. All fish today on the Baby Vudu Shrimp and Vudu Vixien.
