Cedar Key to Suwannee

Fished the creek a and oyster bars north out of Cedar Key. We started in the creeks in the lower holes. Not much happening. Countless yellow tails and a small trout. Went up into the creek pretty far and got 6 - 12” to 16” reds. Pretty fish. On the way back out the temperature warmed in the mouths from incoming tidewater. That was the ticket. Got a nice 27” slot red and a 5lb black drum on the edge of an oyster bar that was showing a nice current rip and a tail out seam. Too bad it took so land to figure that out. It was time to go and the mid afternoon rain was starting. A fun fish that was.
