Took a break from chilly NM and headed to Cocoa Beach.  Trout bite in the islands seemed better than last trip and certainly better than the Rio Grande or Conejos.  After an afternoon paddling for trout/reds, the combination of moon and tides lured me to Sebastian to get my fix.  Found myself all alone on the rocks inside the bridge, hooked several, landed 3, with only a small amount of blood letting from sharps (what ever happened to the sign “Safe Passage Requires Local Knowledge”?.). The one in the pic was pretty epic on 2500 gear with 20# leader.  Ended up in the water over my head but managed to get to where I could get a pic.
Elk Hunt was a bust so turned attention to quackers.  ((Hoping to repay Joe some day for his kindness for taking me aboard his fishing yacht)
