Free to a good home Project Kayak, due to health issues I am cleaning out some stuff.

Original "Kazkazi Dorado" kayak. Needs some fiberglass work, cleaning, paint and TLC.
These kayaks were designed and built in S. Africa as open ocean fishing kyaks. 15+ feet in length x 29" wide, SOT, with 2 flush mount rod holders, and a rudder. The kayak has a rather large fish box accesssed thru the console and also a round hatch  on the deck.
You can;t stand in it, but it paddled like a dream in its prime. The seat, leg calf calf area are a bit tight but at 5'11" @ 175 pounds it was very comfortable for me on 6 to 8 hour days and extended my daily distances form 6 miles to 8 to 12 miles. The kayak weighs approx. 60 pounds.

Several years ago a person was strengthening up the hull with a layer of fiberglass inside. ... this work was completed, But the bottom of the console was cut out to access the inside of the hull and needs to be fiberglassed back in. Due to my health issues it has sat outside in the sun now since 2012 and the sun has taken its toll on the gelcoat. With a bit of elbow grease cleaning and fiberglass work inside the console it could easily be brought back to a very useable state for inshore or offshore use. With some sanding and soe marine paint could be brought back to a thing of beauty.

Unfortunately due to my declining health I have taken it off my list of project's and it needs to go to a handy person looking for a good project kayak. Kinda hurts to see it go.. its been on my project list of things I wanted to finish but my health is declining.
Its to long to hang out the back of a pickup bed,, (well maybe a long bed would work with a red flag), and I cannot help lift/carry so if interested be prepared bring a vehicle with racks or trailer and some lines and a friend to help.
