Hey guys,

Looking to fish with golden shiners in the alafia.  Where are guys getting them?. At a shop? In the river with a cast net?..

Thanks

They come to hog pellets pretty good if you have time to throw a net. You'll need to chum a few spots ahead of time. Local bait shops will want a decent price but you won't waste a lot of time.

What’s the ideal place to throw?  I live on a private lake with a decent amount of eel grass.  No real structure or canals.  It’s closed off to any PBC drainage systems.

If you have a dock or have access to a dock I used to catch them on bread balls with a small gold hook. I guess it just depends on how many you need

Any pockets in the grass where the pellets will sit on clean bottom. Mark the spots with a little stick or ribbon .

I feed them every evening, at the same time, on our pond with floating catfish food.  Get them used to being fed and they'll be there.
