Could someone help me out with the rules for fishing Alabama waters when leaving from a port in Florida? I would like to leave from Pensacola and fish the oil rigs in Alabama waters.

What Klinger said. If you leave from FL and go through AL to federal water and go through AL on your way back to FL, if you have fish aboard you have to have an Alabama license. If you are checked while fishing in fed water off of Alabama, same thing.

Alabama changed their state waters to 9 miles like Florida, if out in federal water doesn't matter if you have Alabama licenses or not, however those couple of close rigs get checked often...
