Well , due to remodeling my new house and hunting season I've been a little landlocked. Other than some bass club tournaments.
Alex from Ga. asked me to go on the river and fish bass. Seeing as I had just completed (other than paint touch up and two appliance) my year long remodel. YES... I needed to fish.

Launched at ramp near 200 bridge . Water is pretty high and over the dock there. Ran up river and seen a big wild hog on the bank while running. Nice 160-200lb'er . Ran up to cowhead flats and started fishing a canal looking for warm water. Bass are staging looking to bed and Alex got a 3.9 pretty quick on 6lb test with a 4" worm.

He got another a little way in and also this giant..

Water was 58 and fishing was slow but we never seen another boat and the weather was nice. I caught some bluegill and stuff on my ultralight and a beetle spin. We moved to a spring and I caught a couple decent fish..

And some not too decent...

Alex ended the trip with a good one so back to the ramp.

Good outing and fun fishing. Thanks for the ride Alex !
