  Fish around the spoil islands on short drop offs.  A can't go wrong lure is a small paddletail on a jig head slowly bounced on the bottom. White or chartruse is a good color.

  try top water in the morning too around the flats where you can see grass and "potholes".

  Forget trout and teach him how to safely navigate thru the inlet...his boat is not suited to inshore.
