Cold weather snookin'

Took out a nice couple from the cold north last night with hopes of catching their first snooks.  We had really light winds, cool temps dropping into the 50's, water temp at 65, and a steady incoming tide.  From nearly the first cast to the last we had some pretty consistent action with around 10 healthy snooks on the line and a few more missed.  Most of them were caught near the bottom on big Hogy HDUV eels with 1 oz jig heads.  Fish ranged from 24" to 32" and all seemed healthy and happy.  Saw a couple baby tarpon roll but no takers... maybe next time.

Tarpon... everything else is just bait.
