Home Ten Thousand Islands General Fishing & The Outdoors

Sunday at goodland

Launched the hobie about 8:30 and let the incoming take me further back. Used a white bucktail tipped with shrimp to catch snapper, a black drum and smallish snook. Tide seemed to be slack when I caught a 30+ inch snook. Might have been my biggest and lots of fun on a kayak.

Let tide start taking me back but things had slowed down. Switched to brown bucktail and caught a 14”Goliath. Move to a point where the water was hauling and 10 straight casts were immediately hit by either snapper or 16” redfish. Lots of fun but legs were turning to jello trying to hold my spot so I let the outgoing tide flush me home. Very peaceful and fun day
