Iguana hunting in SW florida - Where? How?

  Hi franklee75 and welcome to the forum!  Are you already familiar with the requirements for hunting in florida?

  I could be wrong, but I think the only place you can hunt iguanas in florida would be private property with the owner's permission.  Likely somewhere inside city limits that don't allow the discharge of a firearm (at least that's where I see them).  So you'd be restricted to other methods of take.
  

  I don't believe there are any regulatory guidelines for iguanas (nor most other exotic species) which means you can't hunt them on public land.  There have to be rules in place.  Like there are for conditional reptiles, which you can hunt on wmas close to you.  Why on earth iguanas aren't on the conditional reptile list is beyond me....  but they're not.  So you can't hunt them on wmas.
