Rainy day November Redfish

LilOrangeLilOrange Posts: 1,210 Officer

Took a break from the rat race & headed to Destin for a few days before the holidays hit. Picked a bad week to come down.....it's been raining for the last three days & gotten chilly. But, you fish when you can. Did a little wade fishing in the cold drizzle today & was rewarded with a beautiful redfish this morning. The ole gold spoon did the trick; fished really slow. Was fishing the grass flats between the base of the Destin Bridge and the Coast Guard Station. Except for a blue heron, had the place to myself all day......we were the only idiots braving it. LOL!

Think I'll try some surf fishing from the beach tomorrow. Rain is suppose to move out & be sunny. Maybe I can find a pompano.

Tight lines.......
