Indian Pass

Talking with a friend over the weekend Indian Pass came up. I haven't heard very much on Indian Pass.

How bad is Indian Pass?

The Raw Bar is standing but badly damaged. I have not heard about the Indian Pass community its self.

Indian Pass got hit pretty hard.  Our house is on the highest point on the peninsula and only had about 50 yards of dry land left between the Gulf and Lagoon.  Debris is awful.  Lots of houses had flooding, lots of roof damage, and some trees down.  Beach is flat.  The Raw Bar did have lots of water and lost their sign, at least temporarily.  That end of IP to the west is bad... All washed through.

Now Money Bayou area is much worse though.  It's much lower and doesn't have the old dune elevation to protect it.  Just about every house had major damage or was destroyed.  Lots of debris pushed into the marsh on the north side of 30A.   Lots of pine trees down there.

I was so busy at our house I didn't survey much to the east near the camp ground, but I think they are ok.  I know some of the low lying houses had bad flooding.

I don't think there will ever be an old "normal".
