I will provide a link when I can, but I am sitting in a meeting with the US State Department for an update on Bahama / US EEZ.
The Northern limits affect our PLL fisheries, but the line between Dade/Broward/Palm Beach could create an EEZ that would make it illegal to fish more than half way across from our coast.
Currently the Bahamas ony enforces a 12 mile off the bank limit for recreational fisheries. If the new agreement is signed, we could see at sea boardings by the Bahamian government when we fish more than half way across, essentially limiting us to fishing no more than 25 to 28 miles off our coast without clearing int he Bahamas and obtaining a fishing permit.
Keep an eye here and when I have a link for comments, I will post it here.
Some contacts will be provided and I will post the entire presentation by the US State Dept.

I recognize this should have been in the Tropics section so if you could move it for me that would be great.
