You guys need to get off the Kalik bandwagon at least when you're in the islands. Kalik is owned by Heineken. Go for the locally owned stuff; Sands. They also make a nice light beer as well as a heartier brew called High Rock.
Its not the same. One of the main differences between the US golds and Bahamian golds are the label. The US golds say "Premium Quality" and the Bahamian Golds say "Extra Strength". You can tell the difference too. Bahamian golds have the skunkier smell and taste with the alcohol to match. I can drink 5 US golds before I get a buzz, takes 1 Bahamian gold.
BUT, it's certainly better then nothing.
Stuff I just got was 7% - can't see it not being as strong as in the Bahamas?
Maybe if we tell people that the brain is an App, they will start using it.

Big Game had Sands bucket specials a couple years ago.
I dont care for sands either, the brewery is on the car ride from Freeport to West End and my Dad is always trying to push it. Although I do like a High Rock once in a while.
From what I can tell over the years, if you like Miller Lite you probably will like Sands. If you are a Bud Light guy you would prefer Kalik. I love Kalik, but the Golds give me a headache, wether it be the kind from Total Wine or from the islands.

But, in the Bahamas? I'll still enjoy a cold KG or two.......

It is already out. I had a couple at Jollification two weeks ago and it was good. Kalilk also has a Kalik lime out, i am not a fan.
According to this article, it's marketed to Bahamians as something comparative to Colt 45. You sure it was good?
