August Tarpon St Pete Clearwater Dunedin

I will be heading to the inlaws first of August and want to chase the silver king on a Silver King.  Where do I go?  What do I fish?  Any help is appreciated.  I come down several times a year and focus on flats but I'm dying to get on a tarpon.

fish bridges late evening well into dark. live mullet, ladyfish, whitebaits under the bridges would be the easiest targets imo.

Ping me when you get here.  Hard to say where they'll be for sure, but I would expect fish to be inside Old Tampa Bay (as well as McKay Bay) somewhere.  In the meantime, I'd practice casting a DOA Baitbuster trolling model.

ive never fished McKay bay. it looks so shallow, as in i see mud often going over the causeway. That wuld be a good yak spot.

Probably should have said Hillsborough/McKay bay.  ;)
