whats up guys, I am brand new to fly fishing and just picked up my first combo, a 7/8 Redington Behemoth and 8wt TFO BVK. Given that I am brand new, how would you guys spool this reel for bass and light inshore? And help us greatly appreciated.

20lb rio backing..weight forward floating saltwater 8wt line Scientific Angler has proven to be a good line

I recommend taking the outfit to a reputable shop and let them take care of the rigging for you. 20/30lb micron is fine, but you'll want a spliced loop on the back end to facilitate easy line swaps. If it's your first rig I would go with a wf/f redfish taper, every manufacturer makes one. Any short/compact head fly line will work, but I do agree with post above that SA makes some of the most user friendly lines. Good luck.
