Surf report 5/24/18

got to the beach about 6pm and had steady action fishing three rods with store bought dropper rigs and frozen yams.

got 5 "big" 13"+ whiting, a middle slot black drum, one keeper pompano, along with several short pomps, one which came as a double header with a short black drum.

the fish all seemed to be running through a little cut as the tide went out i could see it was about 8' wide and a good 1.5-2' deeper then the rest of the beach: a little fish highway.

water is warming so they wont be around long, git em while ye can!

    Nice work!
Thanks, what also surprised me was most fish were in the actual breaking waves/wash(small waves but still) section of the runout vs beyond it.

It is a hard urge to fight for me-wanting to cast as far as possible, but working a few rods showed the short one getting hit more so I moved them all in and zeroed in on the zone. Guess it is called "surf fishing" for a reason LOL
