Old cheese/sponge catfish bait?

many years ago there was a catfish bait where the cubed sponge pieces came already immersed and soaked in the stinky cheese goo.  All you had to do was grab a pice of sponge and put it on a hook.  I have been looking and cannot find anything like that now. Everything is a punch bait or dip bait.  I’m talking about the type where the sponge was pre-soaked and in the goop when you bought it, and with no hook. You just grabbed the sponge from the goop and put it on your own hook.

does anyone know if that product is still made, or have a recipe it make it?

I remember that from a long time ago. Have not seen it in years.

Think it got bad publicity because of people throwing the used sponge pieces in the water. Really surprised soft baits don't catch the same rap.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you

I don't throw used soft baits in the water, but there are allot of pieces to collect, and throw out , in the boat after a few days
