  Probably a good idea... but for 5 days I'd like to convince myself I can figure it out on my own. We did really well in November out of Cudjoe having never fished the keys from a boat. It was awesome figuring out the fish over the course of a long weekend.

  Last July we rented a 21 ft Angler out of Cudjoe for just one day.  It was a bare bones fishing boat but got us to the reef and we caught some YTs and Ceros.  Not sure if you are trying to head way out but Cudjoe has a 26 ft Cat that looked pretty nice and the prices are decent there.  You are right about a lack of rentals in the KW area.  I think it might be due to the cost of dockage.  Good luck!

  Hurricane Hole Marina has a sign that says that they rent boats.  I am pretty sure they just started doing it last year.  Not sure what they have post Hurricane though.  Just give them a call.
