Mounting a Humminbird Piranha Max4

I am adding this depthfinder to the bow of my Boat. I just wish the basics. I have two options to mount the unit.  Mount directly to the Boat, Or buying a ram mount? Do you all have any other ways or ideas on me mounting this small unit to the bow? Thanks Tomm

Sort of a coin toss ? Gonna be two holes either way. Ram will give more adjustment for viewing I guess ?

Nope no more holes.  Removed inspection plate and replaced with starboard. I will sand and tweet, as I get ideas of mounting? Thus the reason for this question.

Thinking ram mount now to raise and tilt back more. Looks like it would help keep away from TM also ?
