Ft. Pierce Area 1/20

My wife and I got back on the boat this past weekend. It had been about 3 weeks since we had decent weather for fishing. We got on the water at 7:15am and by 9:30am we went through 5 dozen shrimp, had 10 sheepshead in the cooler and 2 broken reels. We made it back to the dock by 10am. It took me about an hour to clean all of the sheepsheads, that is why I limited my wife and I to only keep 10. All in all it was a good day on the water. We landed about 30 fish and I got to buy two new reels. The reels that broke were Penn Fierce II, that were about 1 1/2 year old, but hard fished. My wife and I try to fish at least once a week, so I feel we got our money out of the reels. We upgraded to the Penn Conflicts. We like them so far, I just hope to get more than 1 1/2 year out of them. Anyways we were fishing in the Ft. Pierce Marina area on the last 2 hours of the incoming tide. The water was a cold 59 degrees and we were using live shrimp for bait. Tight lines my friends!!:fishing
