12/21 Key West - Pilchards On The Wrecks

What a beautiful day. Pretty much flat calm Summer conditions. Netted some Jumbo Pilchards and headed out to the reef to do some drifting. The water was murky green and not much action besides some Reef Sharks. Decided to make the run out to the wrecks. Beautiful dark blue and warm water. Crystal clear for a change. Only was able to do a drift and a half before my FF/GPS died. Lost one battle to the wrecks and picked up a nice Blackfin. On the way back into the reef I ran into a massive school of Jacks who were more than willing to fight and gobble up the last of my Pilchards. A beautiful day on the water although those tend to be kind of lackluster catching days.
