  Jack Island north of Ft Pierce Inlet and Bear Point to the south of the inlet... Good luck with the fly rod though, no room, lots and lots of snags above and below the water.

  thanks for the pointers guys, I'm going to bring a rod if i go up and surf fort pierce next week.. get some waves, and try to catch a fish.. sounds like a good day!
  
  By the looks of some of the youtube videos it looks like theres some that you just drive up to and fish in a ditch on the side of the road. Still scouring google earth for those

  Hutchinson Island North of the Power Plant.
  Fish the outflows on a outgoing tide.
  There are some North of Ft Peirce inlet as well.

  There are a few spots that will take a bit of walking , unless you know the “key” areas.....:wink

  Good luck with the fly rod there, very tight quarters. The ditches can be a blast if the mosquito's don't carry you away in the process.

  I would try some of the golf course ponds in your area and any ditches running into or out of them.
  Most the side road ditches along "tamiami" trail are killer but would be a drive and you may snag a car on your backswing lol
