Thanksgiving Offshore Clearwater - Tuna, Cobia, AJs,

Managed to get 2 good days in. As usual the ARS were thick from 55ft - 100ft. Couldn't get dialed into the gags, fished bait stacks on ledges, rocks ...got 2 keepers and a few mangs. Blackfin tuna and Cobia were the highlights. Today we did find a large school of AJs 70 ft - tired the kids out on them.

Outstanding, nice pelagic platter. Alas, the elusive Gag Grouper. Nice catch Capt. Dad.

You were clearly on them better than I was. I went out the day before Thanksgiving to the Blackthorn, and was pretty underwhelmed. My son and I caught a handful of short gags and reds, several grunts, one porgy. I had 2 solid hook-ups that I couldn't turn on heavy tackle. Figure it was jewfish, shark, or maybe a ray. I'm planning to try out Treasure Island II Reef tomorrow.
