Fat litte Bull shark.... I was smart enough to at least THINK ..." Hmmm...that's a dollar& twenty cents in his mouth...but my ER deductible is $100...He keeps the jig" :grin
He did however bite a hole in my landing net....:banghead....I guess I should have cut it loose in the water.

And this guy...he took a hit.

Well, I was at #66 when this weather came in and the last day I fished was 10/1.
Last year on 10/3...I was at #95...so...things are off by quite a bit.

Depends really... Plenty of Ringers...If you want them.
I usually like to try for puddle ducks since I like eating them better...even if it is only slide out and kill a mottled...maybe a couple teal...and head home early.
Some years we get a decent amount of odd balls like Gadwal & widgeon. I also like getting wood ducks when I can.

I have a couple shotguns ( can't say # or ATF will rain down hellfire after this past week )....:wink
I like to make a bit of a game out of it when there are lots of birds...a .410 is fun but the shells are stupid expensive in steel shot.

Where do you get to hunt down there? I used to hunt the refuge when I lived on MI but it has been a long long time. Ringers are a blast to pass shoot that is for sure. I think one of the last hunts I got to do there I trippled on birds coming into decoys. Two drake Pintail and a drake Greenhead. It was a great hunt for sure. There were three of us and we all limited out on good ducks.
