20 pound mahi out of Boynton - 9/29/17

https://www.instagram.com/p/BZWtBwhFY0y/

Friday morning before work I launched off Palm Beach, FL to go fishing. The hurricane has kept me off the water for the last few weeks so I was anxious to get out there. The mullet run is in full swing so the morning started off with tarpon launching out of the water to feast at first light. Once the sun came up the action on the beach stopped, so I went deeper. I deployed baits in 100 feet of water and not 10 minutes later my live goggle-eye gets hit by this mahi. The fight actually was not as intense as the other mahi I've caught even though this one is probably my biggest. To see video of tarpon launching out of the water and my mahi catch, click here.
