Post Irma

So, I got lucky and had no damage...and with no power or cable...fishing seemed a good way to pass the time.
The water is very high...and dirty and tannin stained...fish are way back in the cover.
Tuesday I got 2 of these..

I also had 2 big jacks...but could not find a trout...

Today was much slower...water was worse too...
but got this...

and a snook and 2 jacks...

So, power came on yesterday...and cable today...so...kinda normal at the home front
and I hope the fishing will go back to pre Irma but I'm sure it will take some time to find what happened to the trout.

Hey Joe, your snapper there,,is that a schoolmaster you think? Last Friday I caught a mangrove on my Zara Spook. The snapper were all over it but very few actual hook-ups. Sad about this water here now, but about the same thing happened last year. Hopefully with cooler weather it will clear up in a couple months. It really stayed fairly clear most of this year.

It is a Cubera snapper John....

I've been duck hunting....all the water is no friend there either...but much like fish...I can still scrape out a few.

Got rained on as I started down the Intercoastal, all that I could stir up was some Tarpon. Got 2 on, but both jumped off.
